    Grant Writer (Remote) To Help Fund Education & Nutrition for Children

    We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to help secure foundation grants ranging from $75K to $375K to support our education and nutrition initiatives. Grant opportunities will be provided but on occasions you are welcome to research for funding opportunities, craft compelling LOIs and grant proposals, and work closely with our team to meet submission deadlines.

    Responsibilities

    • Write clear, concise, and persuasive LOIs and full grant proposals.
    • Ensure grant applications align with funder priorities.
    • Work with our team to gather necessary program details and budget information.
    • Track submitted applications and follow up as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in grant writing, preferably for nonprofits.
    • Strong research and writing skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
    • Familiarity with U.S. foundation grants is a plus.
    • Experience with education, youth, and nutrition grants preferred.

    Volunteer Coordinator (Remote & In-Person) in Virginia

    Location:
    Ashburn, VA (90% remote, 10% In Person)

    We are looking for an organized Volunteer Coordinator to help recruit, screen, and manage volunteers while assisting with event planning, marketing, and community outreach. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with people, has strong organizational skills, and wants to make a real impact!

    Our latest initiatives include:

    • Arts & Crafts Classes bringing seniors and special needs children together for creative engagement.
    • Microgreens Project launch upon fund received, fostering nutrition, sustainability, and intergenerational connections.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Volunteer Recruitment & Management

    • Interview and screen new volunteers to ensure the best fit for our programs.
    • Match volunteers with appropriate roles based on skills and interests.
    • Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing support.

    Event Planning & Execution

    • Assist in organizing and executing community outreach events, fundraising initiatives, arts & crafts classes, and the Microgreens Project.
    • Coordinate logistics for volunteer participation in events.

    Marketing & Outreach

    • Collaborate with the team to promote volunteer opportunities through social media, email, and community platforms.
    • Assist in creating marketing materials for recruitment and events.

    Community Engagement

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.
    • Maintain volunteer records and track participation.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Passion for community service, special needs advocacy, arts & crafts, or senior engagement.
    • Strong communication & organizational skills.
    • Experience in event planning, volunteer management, or marketing (preferred but not required).
    • Comfortable using social media, email marketing, and volunteer databases.
      Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Help Collect Bidding Items for Online Auction

    Are you a Middle School, High School, or College student looking to make an impact? We invite you to apply to help us raise funds for an important cause!

     

    International SEVA is seeking enthusiastic student volunteers to reach out to local vendors for donations for our Online Auction scheduled for Fall 2025. We’ve already received signed T-shirts and soft toys but we need your help to gather more!

     

    Why Get Involved?
    The funds raised will provide tablets, computers, and electronics for 1,500 underprivileged, orphaned, and special needs children living in rural Gujarat, India. These children often lack access to technology and play equipment, hindering their education and development. Your efforts will help empower them to reach their full potential, bringing joy and hope to both students and teachers in their communities.

     

    Who Can Participate?
    Any Students, Groups or Adults.

     

    How You Can Help:
    NOTE:

    • Local pickup can only be from Fairfax and Loudoun Counties in Virginia, Montgomery and Howard Counties in Maryland.
    • All other collected items must be electronic certificates.

    Here are some exciting ways you can contribute to our auction:

    • Collect Gift Vouchers: Reach out to salons, spas, cafes, and bakeries for vouchers.
    • Approach friend and family’s favorite Merchants: Request gift certificates from grocery stores, retail outlets, and local fast food and restaurants.
    • Create Gift Baskets: Assemble baskets with toys, gourmet food, art supplies, puzzles, and books for younger children-always a hit!
    • Donations of Experiences: Seek travel tickets (with or without lodging) and local adventure experiences.
    • Healthcare Electronic Certificates: Ask local practitioners for free dental cleanings, exams/x-rays, free vision tests, or health check-ups.
    • Promotional Coupons: Gather car wash vouchers or coupon booklets, pizza, donuts, groceries…
    • Unique Items: Look for signed memorabilia, antiques, or event tickets.
    • Educational Offers: Arrange for free online or in person local tutoring sessions, cooking classes.
    • Portrait/Photo Certificates: Ask for family photo shoot studio certificates, free party booth rentals.
    • Event/Museum: Ask for free admission e-tickets.
    • Childcare Services: Free trial period e-certificates.

    Help Fundraise for Pilot Microgreens Project

    International SEVA is seeking a group of students to fund raise for quality supplies and materials to launch a successful and nutritional.

    Suggestions of how to raise funds are:

    • Setup up a team for car wash. Be a team lead, plan and execute in your local area.
    • Be a team lead for movie nights, starting in Spring.
    • Need venues – Does a family have a backyard or a venue in mind that can support our organization, or we can partner with?
    • Interested in arranging a dance, garba or bhangra event? We have a venue that may sponsor this event.
    • Be the lead to create a dedicated team with their interest, expertise and execution.
    • For Online Auction:
      • Make Gift baskets of educational handheld toys, gourmet food, art/craft supplies, puzzles and books (Always a hit).
      • Donate miles, travel destination tickets with or without lodging – Minimum 2 tickets is preferred.
      • Healthcare certificates: Free dental cleanings, exams/x-rays, free vision tests, free basic checkup with local Doctor.
      • Car wash coupons, pizza or donuts coupon booklets.
      • Any Signed Memorabilia (We have few t-shirts) or Antique items.
